BIO
End of End may have had a short time span (1993-1996) but the inspiration from this time period will last forever.
End of End started with Ed Unger and John Inge jamming late nights in a basement in St. Louis, Mo in 1992. Pat Inge moved back to St. Louis in 93 after living in Southern Pines North Carolina and began playing drums. They played their first show and a few house parties in June of 94 with singer (Guy Knepper). Shortly after, things were not working out with Guy. Pat called Nathan Davis, who lived in NC at the time, to come and join End of End as the lead singer.
Nathan Davis arrived in St. Louis on his 18th birthday and End of End recorded their first demo of 'Society'. Many songs were recorded with a Radio Shack tape recorder Ed would bring to rehearsals. They also went to the studio but the mix was so bad it was not released. These rehearsals and the studio recording will be made available shortly.
The many shows, parties and rock star lifestyle wore thin on everyone and the group parted with Nathan Davis at the end of 94 and played there last show with Ed Unger singing in May of 95.
A reunion show with Nathan was setup for 01/02/96. Nathan was living in N.C. at the time and drove to St. Louis. The night of the show a heavy snow hit St. Louis so just Nate & Ed played acoustic for the fans that made it out despite the snow.
During that visit, Ed recorded 3 songs of Nathan's on 4-track Then & Now, Wasted, & Sing for you. In June of 96, Ed moved to Atlanta to work the '96 Olympics with Nathan. They recorded songs on 4-track & moved on to different projects shortly after the Olympics.
Years later Nathan and Ed got back in touch consistently but never got around to recording together again in between their solo projects. They both looked back on End of End as the 'glory days'. Those days are what fueled the fire for the die hard passion of making it through the bullshit music industry and paving their way independently.
On August 22nd, 2006, 2 days before Ed's Birthday, Nathan Davis passed away.
We hope this music, photos and video bring back those glory days to those who were there to experience them with us in memory of Nathan.
Only music can capture an experience passed...
